OK, so it’s happened. Things just got serious.
We’ve made the decision that the second bedroom will become a blogging office come guest bedroom with a sofa bed and desk rather than a full-on second bedroom.
I’m excited, mostly because it finally gives meaning to my Pinterest board. Hurrah.
I’ve already started getting some ideas together for how the room should look – we’ve already painted the walls a pretty fresh pastel blue (Blueberry White from Dulux, to be specific) and it’s got floorboards which we’ll sand and seal soon (didn’t know these were even things, but Chris said they were, so I guess they are…) and then it just needs furniture.
This whole house decorating project is ridiculously exciting for me. I’ve never lived anywhere beautiful before and this house is going to be pretty damn beautiful. As most renters will know, moss green carpets and textured walls are the norm when you’re trying to rent in London on a budget, so having my own designed home office space, let alone a say on the rest of the house decoration is basically like being a child in Toys R Us with endless money.
Except I don’t have endless money, just endless reign, which feels like the same thing after a lifetime of living with parents and renting.
I’ve pulled together a few beautiful looks from Pinterest that I think could fit the space, as well as a bit of a high street wish list.
I’m not even sure you guys will enjoy this post, but it’s for me. My little place to store my ideas and inspirations visually to really keep me motivated to save and work towards this blogging paradise, so bear with me guys… promise i’ll get back to lists and mental illness and happiness tomorrow.
