Which word shall we go with then, sprinter or wring?
Either way, IT’S IN THE AIR.
There’s this little blossom tree a couple of roads from my house and just driving past it gives me a little leap of warmth in my belly. Call it optimism or happiness or a little lessening of darkness or something like that.
Heck, I’d be tempted to take a snap and whack it straight up on Insta if it wasn’t for the fact that said blossom tree is cutely positioned outside a boarded up newsagents. Heh, not quite so pretty now, eh!
I love this time of year. It just feels like there’s hope and strength and positivity building everywhere and it feels as though we’re finally coming out of hibernation.
I’m excited for picnics and long, light evenings. I’m excited for ice cream and tanned skin. For pretty dresses without tights. For eating lunch on the back step. For butterflies. For iced coffee. For driving with the windows down.
But for now, this outfit.
If you don’t already own a plain striped long-sleeve t-shirt and a beige coloured trench coat, I highly recommend investing. This Primark trench was a 2013 buy and I wear it all the ruddy time. Plus they look great together with jeans or a little leather mini skirt or even a cute pleated midi skirt.
I think for me the thing that really brings this outfit into spring aside from y’know, the lack of layers and thermals and snow and moon boots, is the little pops of pastel pink.
I snapped up this big ol’ blanket scarf from the River Island sale for £8, and these cute (and v comfy) mini heels from the ASOS sale for less than £20 and am pretty obsessed with them both.
SPRING, I’M COMING FOR YA.
