I’d say right now I’m at a peak moment in my life. I’m sat in the back of a mini van with a Five Guys Diet Coke refill on my way to zip line down a mountain in the Smoky Mountains.
And also, we’re driving through Gatlinburg which is the most ridiculous place I’ve ever encountered in my life. It’s been described by one Tennessee resident as ‘Hill Billy Las Vegas’, so you get the gist. Kind of like a British seaside town crossed with an episode of The Simpsons.
I rode a horse named Hard Rock this morning, AND I’ve invested in some tea tree oil for my sad little chin spots and guys, GUYS, I *think* it’s working because my face doesn’t resemble a bowl of decaying spag bol as much as it did two days ago.
Anyway, here’s my fave outfit from my Trek trip so far.
And yes, I did coerce Hannah to shoot these for me at our motel after six hours in the car singing to Disney songs and napping.
The shorts are an ancient buy from eBay – you can get Levi shorts on there for about £15 and I love the fit of them compared to most denim shorts on the high street because the denim is so firm and flattering – does that make sense? Can I call denim firm? Is that a thing? Although LOL, I have a baby camel toe trying to snake its way into photos.
I invested in a pair of white Converse before I came away and I’ve been living in them since I arrived – they are my road trip baes. Or y’know, they will be until I go on a hike and turn them a sweet shade of dirt brown. Yum.
I’ve also been living in oversized cardigans – perfect for snuggling in for car naps, but also da absolute bomb for over-the-top American air conditioning.
I *might* have slept in this one last night…
Soz not soz.
