Four Of My Fave Summer Holiday Outfits

You’ll have to excuse the fact I haven’t got sassy, glossy full outfit photos for these looks and just embrace the 2013 blogging vibe of this post – it’s nice to just keep it old school sometimes, right?

Whilst in Barcelona we had pretty standard September weather. Despite a lot of rain forecast and me panicking that we’d have to try and embrace the swimming pool in the rain like keen 12-year-olds on a summer family holiday who will absolutely not be tamed by the weather, we actually nada rain and a lot of sunshine.

And yes I got a bit sunburnt and yes it’s because I *nearly* fell asleep whilst listening to Stephen Fry’s soothing voice whisper me sweet nothings about Hogwarts.

Hashtag no regrets.

Anyway yeah, here’s a quick run down and a few links to some of my fave holiday looks from the weekend.

I’ve been hoarding this embroidered super hun in my wardrobe for a good few weeks just counting down for the right occasion to spin about in it, and my 27th birthday seemed as good excuse as any.

It’s part of the Glamorous X Look magazine collab (there’s loads of ridiculously perfect embroidered and lace pieces you abso need to have a little perve on) and made me feel a bit like some sort of grown-up Disney princess.

Size wise it definitely comes up on the small side, but y’know you’re 103% not defined by your clothes size so don’t let that put you off.

Dress – Glamorous

Shoes – H&M

Bag – River Island

I packed a couple of different beach-y dresses in my suitcase but it was this maxi floral sugar boo from Next that I pulled on every single day. Mostly because a) it wasn’t see-through b) the tie waist made it flattering and c) the maxi length made me feel uber sophisticated.

I could throw it on to sashay about the pool, but I could still feel swish enough to go for lazy afternoon drinks in a bar without worrying that I wasn’t dressed appropriately. Naturally I paired it with that damn straw hat and faux Ray Ban sunglasses combo that’s been clogging up my Insta all summer long.

Beach dress – Next

Hat – Topshop (in store only)

Sunglasses – H&M

Here’s what I wore on my flight over to Barca, in case you were like huh, how do I wake up at the crack of dawn for a short-haul flight and not wear my pyjamas.

You might recognise this here checked dress from my ASOS haul a few weeks back – I decided to size down to a 12 so that it still has a comfy smock shape but doesn’t make me look like I’m wearing a maternity frock to cup my food baby.

I tried to sass up the fact I had no make-up on by hiding behind a red neckerchief.

Dress – ASOS

Neckerchief – Topshop (sold out)

Hat – Topshop

Sunglasses – H&M

Shoes – H&M

Bag – See by Chloe via Monnier Freres

I’ve been thinking about this leopard hun of a jacket ever since I tweeted the link a couple of weeks back, it just keeps popping up in my wildest day dreams.

Anyway seeing as it was my birthday and the Mango prices were marginally lower in Spain I thought it would be rude not to go all TREAT YO SELF GIRLFRIEND on myself.

So here it is, teamed with my trusty black bardot dress (it’s old New Look, but I’ll link a similar one below).

Jacket – Mango

Dress – Missguided

Shoes – H&M

Hat – Topshop

Sunglasses – H&M
