Alright, I get it. Summer is on the cusp of ending and lalalala all you can hear is the sound of a simmering pan of mulled wine complete with cloves, cinnamon sticks and orange slices. Cool, story bro.
BUT OMG FROSÉ.
FROSÉ FROSÉ FROSÉ.
First off, I wanna take this opportunity to say that I hate rosé wine. At some point around age 24 my mouth was like nuh uh hun, you’ve had too much of this. And I’ve never drunk it again.
But we’ve somehow ended up with about four bottles of the stuff hidden on our alcohol shelf (along with a bottle of Sourz and half a bottle of Midori), and so when I came across a Buzzfeed Food recipe for frosé, I knew I had to get involved.
And when I say I, I actually mean Chris. Chris found the recipe, it wasn’t me, alright.
It’s delicious, it’s divine, it’s cheap to make and will impress anyone who comes round your house, promise.
- 1 x bottle of rosé wine
- Pour your bottle of wine into a Tupperware pot, put on the lid to avoid spillage and stick into your freezer overnight. It doesn’t quite completely freeze because of the alcohol in it, but it turns to a thick slush which is super easy to remove from the plastic.
- Once it’s almost-frozen, empty into a blender or smoothie-maker and add a glug (v scientific specific amount) of grenadine, a good squeeze of lemon, and about five strawberries.
- Blitz. AND SERVE.
IT’S THAT EASY.
Oh, and I’d say that one bottle of wine makes about four drinks. Enjoy cuties.
