Before I plague you with outfit snaps, I need you to know two things. Firstly, it was like 32 degrees and so, I’m kind of a sweaty little pickle in most of these shots. Big shout out to that dewy skin look.
And second of all, my curling tongs broke and so I developed the new signature HG hairstyle. Otherwise known as a low bun with wispy strands of hair at the front, that make me look a *bit* like a noughties teenager. Normally worn with a hat because ain’t nobody got time for a sunburnt scalp.
I’m not even slightly sorry.
So yeah, without further ado, here’s what I wore for my little summer jaunt to the States last week.
Oh and ONE more thing. I didn’t take my snazzy 45mm lens with my because y’know holiday, so these little boos have all been taken on my iPhone 6. Hope you can deal.
Won’t lie gal pals, this is my comfiest airport outfit to date. I snapped up a pair of cheap ‘posh’ jogger from H&M in a size or two up and they were like traveling wrapped in soft Egyptian cotton bed sheets. Absolutely the one.
Plus having two bags (you can obs only do this with certain airlines) made me feel mega organised.

ALL ABOUT THAT DENIM LIFE
This photo was taken on our first morning in NYC, about an hour before all the pancakes and coffee and tiredness got too much for me and I had to have a little lie down. Most of you will have seen this dress 7543657 times before, but I’m still living in it because ALL the comfort, and it hides a food baby pretty well too.
THE MANGO DRESS
I mean, OK, I have three Mango dresses, but I think this is the one I wear the most. And of boy, was this the best one for that insane heat because it was so light. I also wore it to Coney Island and managed to burn the part of my back I couldn’t reach with sun cream, so there’s that.
AND THE OTHER MANGO DRESS
I stupidly wore this with a grubby white bra underneath and because I’d manged to shrink it a teeny eeny weeny bit in the wash, the buttons on the front were straining and flaunting my gross af bra to the world. Which made me feel heinous and embarrassed and flustered and oh man I’m going to have to buy some new clothes.
THE DENIM STRAPPY LIL THING
This is one of the new dresses I picked up from Forever 21 whilst in NYC – the shape is completely out of my comfort zone, but you know what? It kept me feeling cool and comfortable so who gives a toot. I had another similar style in green and white tie dye too and wore them with strapless bras and bandeau tops underneath.
We had one super posh meal out (it was officially the most expensive meal of our relationship, eeeeek) at the Boathouse. I don’t massively recommend it as the food was nice but not like I’M MOVING INTO THE KITCHENS nice and the atmosphere was a bit hot and busy and flappy. Anyway, I wore this, with my new bag that bae treated me to. It doesn’t go with anything but who cares because it’s Barbie pink.

WE HAVE 30 SECONDS TO TAKE THIS PHOTO
It was our last night, it was 7.59pm and we were booked for dinner at 8pm. Now, if I’d been with gal pals I would have been like can we find somewhere cute for a lil outfit snap, but by this point I think Chris wished my camera and phone would just explode, so um yeah, THIS OUTFIT BACKGROUND.

Yeah, alright I got carried away and bought a tourist cap AND WHAT? By this stage in the game my fake tan was well and truly down the shower drain but hey, what’s a pair of pale pins between pals?
