Three Paris Outfits

Hey little pigwidgeons.

You’ll only get that cute lil nickname if you’re a Harry Potter babe 4 lyf.

So, hi! I got back from Paris last night. I’d timed it all so perfectly so that I could get home for 8pm and have a couple of hours to drink herbal tea and eat macarons with Chris on the sofa before bed, ready for a megz productive day today, but alas, Greater Anglia had other plans.

All the train lines out of Liverpool Street were blocked last night, and so, rather than listen to the announcements telling me to travel via Cambridge (which would, just FYI, mean a three-hour journey home), I put my awkward Britishness to one side and scouted out some fellow Ipswich commuters. Then we booked ourselves a nice little cab and all trundled up the A12 home together. It was delightful.

Anyway, point of my story is that I got home late and today feel a bit like I haven’t slept since 1997 and so HI MY POST ABOUT PARIS WON’T BE UP TODAY, but here’s the outfits I wore whilst out there, for you to spy at in the meantime.

After snapping this 10 out of 10 jumper up from Freeport at the weekend, I knew it HAD to be my main travelling piece on Monday morning. I kept it casual and classic with my trusty ancient Primark trench (and BTW I saw a mega similar stone-coloured midi one in the H&M catalogue on my dining table this morning) and ASOS skinny jeans.

I also wore my new Stan Smith trainers, which I’m hoping will stop making my feet bleed soon. There’s obviously something wrong with my feet because everyone else who owns these furry babes swears they’ve never had a blister. FFS.

I had about seven minutes to sass myself up for the evening without risking missing the Eiffel Tower look all glam and BAM during sunset, so that’s why my fake eyelashes look like they’re hanging on for dear life. My bad.

This is my dress from the Uniqlo Lemaire collection and I love how it instantly makes me feel confident and full of energy and glamour whilst taking away any body insecurities because it skims my lumps and bumps.

And these Next pointed loafers <3 Over and out.

I GOT TO WEAR A FLOATY MIDI SKIRT IN PARIS. OK, so there were moments, whilst hovering in the shade, where I wanted to scream sweet swear words because of how cold I was, but mostly nah, mostly I was feeling spring-like and warm and happy.

If you’re quite hip-y like me, wearing a denim jacket or biker jacket helps hide the way a pleated skirt adds an extra inch to your curves. I teamed mine with my new bff – my ASOS body – so that it balanced out the overall combo.

Plz ignore the fact I had to wear socks with my trainers, you have no idea how much pain I was in. I’M COOL, I PROMISE.
