Ewww, January bank accounts.
I dunno if it’s my tiny bit of weight loss, or the sudden dark, gloomy and downright effing freezing weather that’s appeared (thanks for that one, winter, you old chum, you) or the fact that I’m a poor little pauper right now, but all I can think of is new clothes.
New shoes adorned with pom poms and glitter and ribbon. New buttery handbags in bright pops of colour with dreamy gold hardware. New floaty summer dresses that are just weeping for a biker jacket and reflective pair of sunnies to take them for a dance around NYC for coffee and photos. New skirts that show off tanned pins that actually get their arse to pilates every week. New statement jackets that can instantly transform an are you serious? Is today happening? Do I actually need to get out of bed? outfit into something the Instagram gods would give a nod to.
I WANT EVERYTHING.
I WANT IT ALL.
I am so hungry for new fashion life.
So, on that note, I did one of those lil round-ups I love to do so damn much. With the hope that some of you will buy these things and I can live vicariously for you. Or that you’ll all tell me how wonderful I’ll look in *insert item number here* and enable me to stick it on my credit card and whaddya know, never happened.
I want to add a few side notes to these seriously perfect high street bargains. I want to just add my trail of thought on here.
I want the jacket that is number one. I can’t tell you why, I have no reason why. Heck, I don’t even where khaki. But it looks like such an effortless little hun to throw on over skinny jeans, pointy flats and a white shirt. Omg and with a red lipstick too. No YOU’RE talking yourself into buying it.
Also, I know I already have a pale pink roll neck, but that Mango one wins all the contests. JUST LOOK AT IT.
I have in fact tried on that delicious mint green faux suede skirt from River Island and it’s perfect. The cute tie detail distracts from any yes-I-had-the-pret-macaroni-cheese-for-lunch-and-what bloat. I didn’t buy it because I’m bottom heavy and the pale shade drew attention to that fact, but I’m already eyeing up a slightly longer black version.
That green wrap dress is one of the most divine things I’ve seen from Topshop in a while (aside from this pale pink hun of a jacket which I didn’t include because it’s a *smidge* over this post’s budget. The wrap dress comes in a couple of other colours but I just thought the shape was really flattering and elegant and the price point doesn’t make your eyes bleed with sadness.
And on a final note, I know I include a lot of Z for Accessorize jewellery in these posts, but it’s only because it’s SO beauts. It looks way pricier than it is, always looks designer and is all gold-plated which means it won’t turn your fingers green three days in. Check it out if you’ve just had a promotion at work and need something, anything to celebrate.
Over and out, ladies.
