8 Autumn Fashion Trends You Absolutely Need On Your Radar

I mean, you don’t even need these on your radar because BOY ARE THEY GOING TO TURN YOU INTO A PINTEREST DREAM, more because y’know what? They’re all mega flattering.

It don’t matter if you’re a slim little bean or a curvy hot mumma, these AW15 fashion trends are all seriously easy to wear. And comfy. And yup. Because ain’t nobody got time for mini skirts that ride up and try and show off your upper thigh cellulite to the wider world or heels so high they make you walk like you’re a broken robot.

These are the pieces I’ll be cosying and sassying up to for the next few months.

Admit it, there’s something seriously nice about getting back in the layering up and black opaques game.

Now someone pass a girl some sort of cinnamon-y hot beverage with all the whipped cream. Thx boo.

Like your usual stone coloured trench coat except with a sexy seventies twist.

Most of the high street gems have bought our pretty suedette versions to stop your bank account having a small breakdown and bringing down the internet – although New Look have come over all glossy with their premium version which also comes in black, if you’ve got a spare £100 lingering about.

For me it’s all about wearing one to polish up a pretty casual outfit – think girlfriend jeans, white shirts, pointed ankle boots and a fedora. Easy peasy autumn dressing.

I lived in my Zara leopard boots last year (after splurging £95 on them as a birthday treat and feeling sick with spending guilt for an eternity), but this year it’s all about that snakeskin. It’s especially yummy and decadent because they seem to come in a huge variety of rich jewel tones, so whether you fancy green boots or stone boots or amber boots or red boots, the internet has you covered. Whatta babe.

Now THIS is my kinda jam. A cute pinafore that doesn’t ride up and make you look like a school girl wearing a nappy? I’m all game.

I love the denim varieties that look like such a grown-up, sophisticated twist on the classic shape that’s been doing the rounds this year. I actually sold my old Topshop one on eBay earlier this year, so maybe I’ll treat myself to one of these chic midi styles – worn best with a roll neck and heeled ankle boots, obvs.

Mostly of the clutch variety but that New Look monochrome version has a cute chain for times when you just CBA to carry your bag like a sleek street style gal.

These are fun (and warming to cuddle when you’re waiting on a pavement for a taxi at 1am after a truck load of cocktails), and I like the idea of just wearing them during the day with denim and leather, for a funky little texture mash-up.

faux fur bags

And double-breasted jackets if we’re being all specific and that.

Although these have been around since last year, I feel like this season they’ve become a little smarter and tailored and I like that about them. I like that they can instantly make you look grown-up and important, and give a polished twist on plain ‘ol jeans and a shirt.

I want all three tbh.

Yes to pretty heels you can walk in. In fact, ALL the yeses. All of them.

(I know yeses isn’t a word, but whatevs)

When I picture wearing these, I picture them (as I picture everything) with a good, solid, pair of rolled up girlfriend jeans and a white tee. They’ll also look phenomenal with culottes or those midi pinafore dresses we were all just lusting over.

Of the flattering, floaty version because duh, girl needs a dress shape that’ll hide macaroni cheese and red wine bloat.

All of these are very Hannah dresses. I love a good vintage-inspired midi number, and these high street hotties tick all dem boxes.

These beauts are perfect for date night with lace up pointed heels, a half-up-half-down bun and a Bobbi brown metallic smokey eye. YES.

The creme-de-la-creme of every AW season. I won’t lie, there was so much snuggness and happiness in my soul putting on my cream roll neck from New Look that I bought last year to take the lead photo for this post.

I want them in every colour of the rainbow tbh. They look great with skinny jeans, suede skirts, leather skirts and my bae – girlfriend jeans. They also look fan-bloody-tastic with printed cigarette pants. The options are endless. Go as big and slouchy as you dare.
