The idea of wearing a red dress doesn’t fill my belly with all the happy feelings the way, say, wearing a red lip does (as long as it’s of the matte orange-red variety, obvs). But when I saw this sassy summer number just swinging along with its pretty tassels in the Oxford Street branch of New Look, I wanted her, desperately.
I’m not big on a cold shoulder, I’ll be honest, it just feels a bit like every dress with a cold shoulder could be made better by y’know, replacing the shoulder, but I love the simple, flattering cut of this dreamboat, so I’ll let that slide.
I love that it’s not white like EVERY cute tassel dress this season and I love EVEN more that it costs £14.99 which is about a third of the price of any other cute tassel dress this season.
It’s a winner, it’s a beaut, it’s the easiest summer outfit you’ve ever worn.
As I’m typing this it’s Friday and I’ve had one of those mornings where I CBA with life and my anxiety’s started rearing it’s head and I was wearing boyfriend jeans and a New York tee and then I slipped into this to take the photos and my mood transformed instantly.
It’s so comfortable and simple and yet looks too cute. It makes a statement without being too dressed up or clinging to back fat rolls.
I’m still wearing it now, I’ve abandoned this morning’s outfit because this puts me in SUCH a better mood. It makes me feel confident and happy and Hannah again.
If they had it in more colours I’d be snapping them all up. TBH.
Good work, New Look.
